FEATHERED & OMBRÉ EYEBROWS
Ombré brows and eyebrow feathering have exploded in popularity in recent years. While the long lasting results are not actually permanent (typically staying on for approximately two to four years) , Brow clients are consistently delighted with results that most people cannot distinguish the difference from the tattoo and actual eyebrow hair. Aside from replacing thinning brows, micro-feathering and ombré eyebrow services are greatly appreciated by cancer survivors and alopecia sufferers who have lost the majority of their hair and would like a natural brow appearance.
Feathered Eyebrows
Micro-feathering also known as feathered eyebrows is a new cosmetic tattoo trend that mimics the appearance of real eyebrow hair using a fine point permanent makeup device. We apply small pigmented strokes into the dermis of the skin which will look identical to your natural brow hairs. These prominent, super-fine hair strokes create a more realistic result than other semi-permanent eyebrow services.
Ombré Brows
Ombré is a permanent eyebrow technique for clients who prefer a fuller look. The end result resembles a brow that’s been drawn in with a brow pencil or eyebrow shadow.The head of the brow is lighter and will gradually fade into a darker tail, giving them a perfect Ombre makeup effect.
Combination Brows
A combination of ombré and microbladed eyebrows. Hair strokes will be created with the microblading technique at the head of the brow and will gradually blend into a ombre style tail.
What to expect
We start our Eyebrow Feathering in Vancouver Burnaby with a 20-min consultation to discuss your desired shape and colour. We then measure out your new eyebrows with brow callipers and inked mapping string. After setting the new outline with a surgical marker, a topical anesthetic agent will be applied. After 20 minutes the numbing agent will be removed before we start depositing ink into your eyebrows.
For brow procedures a hand held mechanical tattoo pen will be used to implant the ink into the dermis. Carefully following the outline drawn we will start creating your new eyebrows. Upon completion you will be provided with aftercare products and instructions. Please follow them exactly as directed. Touchup’s are 6 weeks after your initial appointment.
Free touch ups must be redeemed within 6 months of the initial appointment or the touch up will have a $100 service fee. Additional Touch ups after 2 years will be 50% off of the original price. Touchup’s after 3 years will be full price.
Aftercare
- Apply sunscreen daily. (one containing zinc oxide helps prevent fading)
- Avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Come in for a quick refresher every 2-4 years.
